Two boys, aged 14 and 16, were in court Monday facing charges after an incident Sunday night in which a spike belt was needed to stop a vehicle which had been stolen in Moose Jaw.
Police say the vehicle was located around 7:30 pm at Winnipeg and 12th.
About an hour later, the spike belt was put down at Parker Avenue and Massey Road in Regina’s south end in an attempt to stop it.
The vehicle continued on for a few blocks before two boys inside the vehicle got out and tried to flee on foot.
With help from the canine unit, both were taken into custody with one of the boys having to be treated at hospital for minor injuries from a dog bite.
The pair can not be named.
