The price of gasoline has jumped up to 98.9 cents-a-litre.
On Wednesday, prices were hovering around the 91 cent-a-litre mark.
But McTeague says there is plenty of fuel to go around.
McTeague says the price of fuel today is about 12-cents a litre less than last year, 24-cents a litre less than in 2014 and 30-cents-a-litre less than in 2013.
He says the price of fuel should return to lower prices early next week.
