Holy Myles Goodwin!
April Wine is mainstage entertainment at the Queen City Ex! With albums (yes, vinyl), like STAND BACK! This is the pinnacle of Canadian rock in the 70’s and 80’s. I love April Wine. And if you are heading to the EX this weekend, check out the display of concert posters, signed albums and other documents that are on display.
I don’t know how many times I have seen April Wine and it never seems to disappoint.
The weekend weather for the Queen City Ex should be just fine! Great for being on the Flying Bobs, the Polar Express and all those high flying midway attractions.
Thursday I stood and watched one of the rides and my fantasy of being a ride operator continues. Come on!! Just once let me don the uniform, pull on the shades and then lure people onto the ride! Never smiling nor talking once – well maybe once as you tell some over excited farm kid where to get on – or how to exit.
There is a certain attraction to this week.
Jamie wrote about seeing KISS for the first time in 1977 in Lethbridge. I was at that concert too, but it was at the Agridome. And it was a week full of amazing shows during Buffalo Days.
Its been fun seeing some old friends this week. Our one thing in common is that we were all part of the Summer Fair Circuit.
Images like this last a life time. Its the lights at night, the loud music, the sell and smell of the midway, carnival food.
