208,267 people attended this year’s event, slightly down from last year, which saw 209,436 people pass through the gates.
Paula Kohl, with The Regina Exhibition Association says the event is always a success because it’s a tradition for so many Regina-area families.
“It’s something that they look forward to each year. We hear from people on the grounds that it’s the highlight of their summer, and some of them actually take ‘staycations’ just to make sure they can bring their families down.”
Also a big success this year was the Mosaic Flip for Hunger pancake breakfast, which collected 20,320 pounds of food for the Regina Food Bank.
