Police say five people in a vehicle drove onto a farm in the rural municipality of Glenside, west of Saskatoon, early Tuesday evening.
The property owners saw the car arrive, but didn’t know the people inside it.
Mounties say words were exchanged in an attempt to get the vehicle to leave the yard before a gun was fired, killing a man in the vehicle.
Three occupants from the vehicle, including two females (one being a youth) and one adult male were taken into custody Wednesday as part of a related theft investigation. All three have since been released. Currently, zero other persons are in police custody; however, charges are still being considered with respect to some property related offences pending further investigation.
