If you get to a restaurant before the lunch rush, you might be in for a surprise.
A friend and I went out today for Chinese. The establishment is just on 1300 block of Broad Street.
We were the first customers of the day. Mulled over the menu of Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai food, made our choice and waited. As we were visiting, there was a sense the building was filling with a Monday lunch crowd. Maybe not as busy as I’ve seen it.
Our food arrived, my friends plate was all kind of brown or fried looking. And being a polite person, he waited until I received some of my lunch. It was the appetizer soup. We had that then my dish appeared. It looked a bit brighter than that of my dining companion.
The realization of my surroundings happened as we were leaving. A large table of men and then another few tables of more guys.
This wasn’t your white collar group, it was younger working men; construction, city workers, contractors.
I paid the bill and just had to bring this up to the proprietor of the restaurant.
“You do realize that all of your customers are men, don’t you?” As he pointed out there were a couple women at a table by the window. “Well, I still think this might be the spot to come to meet a guy!” We both had a good laugh.
This spot has been highly rated by “foodies”, maybe it will get a new rating as a place to hook up with a guy!
Tinder followers do you know the place!
