The headline says it all; we travel therefore we DRIVE!
You are going to need to slow down in a variety of spots in Saskatchewan and across this country – Arrive Alive! Not just in your vehicle but for all concerned.
We all want to get some place without the hassle of time delays, but think of all the stuff that would be missed if everyone flew.
Where would those Road Side Attractions be without car travel! When I was a kid, it was always the Flintstone Amusement Park or the Enchanted Forest. What a disappointment now! I understand that the Flinstone’s Park is actually closed.
As a kid you long to do things; get out of the car for an adventure. These trips have left me with vivid recollections, mostly because we DIDN’T STOP! Now as an adult, I have the resources to make these longings happen, but have I taken the time.
I have a few days off, why not do something kind of “kiddish” this weekend. Watch out ZIP – LINING in #Cypress Interprovincal Park!
September generally means a couple of things. Labour Day Classic – Bombers and Riders going back to back. Kids getting back to school, an opportunity to buy clothes for fall just because. And I’m going to give you one more event that is pretty neat. If you are a truck driver or own a company that trucks goods across the country or province then we need you!
You will be helping out the Special Olympics.
After watching the Rio Games, you know how these athletes commit and train to excel in their individual sport. Its amazing.
The Special Olympic athlete is no different in how serious they become. If you can, make it a date – get involved on September 10th, 2016. If you can’t be in the truck convoy, then pledge money, enter a team in the truck pull or come to the Turvey Convention Centre to eat a hotdog!
You’ll be happy you got involved.
