So coming up on the weekend is the Easter Seals Drop Zone. That’s where people, willingly remember, go down the side of a really high building. This year I volunteered to go. Which means I was as sleep during a meeting probably. Seriously though I’m looking forward to it. Not only is it for a good cause it’s also an experience that I want to have.
A while back I did the training for it and feel I can do it. The only hitch is that first step. Even all buckled in to the harness, having police officers doing the training and fully trusting them and everything they’re saying it still don’t feel right. It’s an incredibly awkward feeling making that first step backwards. I don’t know how the actual event will do it but during training it was literally one step backwards. Again, I trust the people, the gear and everything else just tell my brain that and we’re good.
