RCMP have now formally charged a 43 year old man, and a 50 year old woman in connection with a hit and run in the town of Big River Tuesday night which took the life of a 5 year old boy.
Stephen Lalonde faces eight charges including one of impaired driving causing death and one of criminal negligence causing death after the boy was hit while riding his bike on Highway 55.
The vehicle allegedly used in the crime was found at a nearby business with two people being taken into custody.
Lalonde made his first appearance in a Prince Albert courtroom on Thursday.
50 year old Sharon McMahon is charged with failure to stop and remain at a scene and was released before a Justice of the Peace. She will attend court at a future date.
