Bruce Johnson, along with his daughter Holly, are making their way to every children’s hospital across Canada during the month of August.
The duo set out to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network because of the impact children’s hospitals have had on their own family.
Bruce’s first daughter, Alyssa, died back 1998 after only 20 days of life and she provides inspiration for the trip.
“We have these ‘Alyssa’ moments as we go on these trips,” Bruce Johnson says.
“We’ve had a couple remarkable ‘Alyssa’ moments actually so far.”
Bruce also said the stop in Saskatchewan was a unique one because Saskatchewan doesn’t currently have a children’s hospital yet open in the province.
Saskatchewan’s children’s hospital is set to open in 2019.
Currently, the father-daughter duo have raised over $80,000 dollars.
