Two men have been charged in connection to a drug trafficking investigation in Regina.
On Saturday, August 20 at about 10:30 p.m., members of the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Street team and members of the RPS executed a search warrant on a residence on the 1600 block of Ottawa Street.
Officers tried to enter the house, but both the front and back doors were heavily barricaded.
Eventually, police found four men and one woman in the house, who were all detained as part of the investigation.
The search of the residence revealed drug packaging, a large a machete, an SKS semi-automatic rifle and a clip containing rounds of ammunition.
Further investigation led to charges against two of the men.
21-year old John Daniel Watkin, from Regina faces several charges, including Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.
25-year old Dane Stephen Laslow, from Regina was also charged.
Both men made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, August 22.
