Two lovers convicted of plotting to kill their spouses will be sentenced Friday in Saskatchewan.
A jury found Curtis Vey and Angela Nicholson guilty in June of conspiracy to commit murder.
Prosecutors say the pair planned to kill Vey’s wife in a house fire in Prince Albert, and Nicholson’s husband by drugging him and making him disappear.
The trial heard that Brigitte Vey secretly recorded her husband and Nicholson hatching the plan in July 2013.
The maximum penalty for conspiracy to commit murder is life in prison.
