Humboldt’s Brianne Theisen-Eaton is back home for the first time since her inspiring bronze medal performance in the heptathlon at the Rio Games.
Fresh off her second Olympic experience, she says it’s great to be back in Humboldt.
“I think it’s really cool and that’s the reason I like being from a small town,” Theisen-Eaton says.
“You feel that support and everyone’s excited for you, yet at the same time, when I come home I’m just regular Brianne, which is really nice.”
Theisen-Eaton used a strong finish in the 15-hundred metre race to pull into third and claim Canada’s first medal in the seven event sport.
