The Regina Police Service Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) will be conducting regular quarterly training in Regina on Wednesday, September 14.
From approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the team will be practicing on the 800 block of Grey Street – with the permission of the owners of the properties.
Schools in the area have also been notified.
Anyone in the area will notice police vehicles, which may include a large Tactical Armoured Vehicle, or TAV, as well as police members in SWAT uniform.
The Regina Police Service says all of the necessary safety checks have been performed on equipment and there will be no live ammunition involved.
Other than the sight of police officers training at these locations, there should be no disruption to the usual everyday activity and traffic flow in the area.
