Regina’s Director of Major Projects has been hired as the city of London’s new top engineer.
Kelly Scherr, who worked in various engineering posts in her career with the City of Regina since 2002, replaces John Braam, who retires this month as London’s engineering boss.
Scherr most recently worked with the City of Regina and was also involved in the construction of the new CFL Stadium in Regina as well as a new waste water treatment plant.
Scherr is a Professional Engineer with a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Regional Environment Systems Engineering.
Scherr, whose last day is on September 23, is excited for the new challenge, but admits it will be tough leaving a place she has called home for much of her life.
