The City of Regina has unveiled their Transportation and Parking Plan for new Mosaic Stadium – which will include free public transit.
The plan is to have fans take transit instead of parking around the new facility.
According to planners, there will be no parking along 9th Avenue between Albert Street and the stadium.
Elphinstone Street between Dewdney Avenue and Saskatchewan Drive will also have parking restrictions.
A test-event on October 1st will determine how well the parking plan will work.
That’s when which the University of Regina Rams host the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
Starting Saturday, September 24, people can get on the Football Express from Normanview Shopping Centre, Northgate Shopping Centre, Victoria Square Mall and Southland Mall at no-cost.
The ride is free and service will also begin earlier.
Football Express buses start leaving the malls two hours and fifteen minutes before kick-off, with the final bus leaving 45 minutes before kick-off.
Returning buses will start leaving the game once full, with the final bus leaving 20 minutes after the game.
