As of Friday at noon, Regina had seen about 15 millimeters of rain come down.
Environment Canada’s John Paul Cragg says this is just the start.
A special weather statement remains in effect for most of Saskatchewan as a system from the U-S is bringing a lot of rain to the province.
When all is said and done, Cragg says between 50-80 millimeters will have fallen in many spots across Saskatchewan.
He says the lone area in the southern and central areas not to see any moisture is the Kindersley and Battlefords area.
The rain is to taper off Saturday night or early Sunday morning, but it is expected those going to the Riders game against Hamilton will have to watch the green-and-white with rain gear on as it is expected to keep raining throughout most of the contest.
