Despite a province-wide campaign to slow drivers down in highway construction zones, it seems as though some motorists simply don’t get it.
A recent safety video produced by the Saskatchewan government to educate motorists on Automated Flagging Devices saw one semi-driver virtually speed through the safety zone – while government cameras were filming.
Officials with the Highways Department continue to urge drivers to slow down in the many construction zones on Saskatchewan highways.
The travelling-public is reminded to slow down in construction zones.
Construction areas on highways are clearly marked – motorists must slow down to 60 km/hr when going through a construction zone.
