Two new physicians are set to begin this October in Preeceville, SK.
The town has been without its emergency room after services were suspended in June due to a doctor shortage.
The Sunrise Health Region says it will work with the new doctors to form a plan to reopen the ER unit.
“Work with them to develop a plan for what emergency services will occur in the future once we’ve had those discussions with them,” said Roberta Wiwcharuk, Vice President of Integrated Health Services at Sunrise Health Region.
The first doctor will begin orientation on October 3, and the second on October 11.
