October 1 is a date many football fans in this province have had circled on their calendar.
In what will be an historic afternoon, the University of Regina Rams put their 3-1 record on the line as they go up against the 2-2 University of Saskatchewan Huskies in the first ever game to be played at the new Mosaic Stadium.
16 and a half thousand fans will set a Canada West attendance record by taking in the game in the first half of what has been dubbed as “Football Day in Saskatchewan”
620 CKRM will have the game for you starting with the pre-game show at 1:30.
The nightcap will go at old Mosaic Stadium as the 5-1 Saskatoon Hilltops take on the 3-3 Regina Thunder in Prairie Football Conference action.
It is hoped many in attendance at the Rams-Huskies game will make their way over to the old Mosaic Stadium for what will be the last contest at the facility between the province’s two junior rivals..
