Sisters in Spirit gatherings are happening across Canada on Tuesday including Saskatchewan.
In Regina, an event will happen beginning at 5 at the First Nations University of Canada.
Spokesperson Brenda Dubois says a pipe ceremony will be held as will a candlelight vigil.
Elder Harry Francis will also speak to the crowd about traditional teachings on grief.
While there are many events held to mark awareness about murdered and missing aboriginal women, Dubois says there can never be enough because of how large the issue is.
She is hoping despite the weather, the community will come and take part in the gathering.
