The Canadian Diabetes door-to-door campaign has kicked off in Regina.
In Southern Saskatchewan there are more than 1,800 volunteers working to collect donations for the association.
Allison Luff with the Canadian Diabetes Association says this campaign provides a significant amount of their annual funding.
“Any donation above $15 will recieve a tax receipt. We raise aproximately $170,000 every year,” said Luff. “We would like to see that number stay the same or — even better — grow a little bit.”
Right now, in Saskatchewan, there are more than 97,000 people living with diabetes, and more than 176,000 people living with pre-diabetes.
The campaign runs until Oct. 15.
