A man is in custody after reports Thursday evening of a possible firearms offence near Regina’s downtown.
The call came around 5:00 when police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Quebec Street for a report of a man with a gun.
Members of the Crisis Negotiators Team were called to the scene near Saskatchewan drive.
Regina Police Service members spoke with the man for a short period of time then the man exited the home and surrendered to officers peacefully.
Police did not find any weapons at the location.
During the investigation, traffic was re-routed, but the scene has been cleared.
