Vehicle and pedestrian traffic on both 11th and 12th Avenues between Hamilton and Rose is back to normal after being blocked for about two hours Tuesday morning
Police, fire and Saskenergy crews are in the alley between 11th and 12th after a vehicle hit a garbage disposal bin which contacted and damaged Saskenergy’s above ground natural gas infrastructure in the alley on the 1800 block of Hamilton around 10:30
There was a strong natural gas smell in the area and two buildings including Conexus Place were evacuated as a safety precaution.
Traffic was re-opened around 12:30 with Saskenergy expecting all repairs to be completed by mid-afternoon.
Regina police say a man in his 30’s has been charged with driving without due care and attention.
