Changes to iron guidelines has Canadian Blood Services asking for an increase in donors.
Starting in December, women will have to wait 12 weeks in between donations instead of 8 to further promote health and wellness with men having to pass a slightly stricter hemoglobin test.
Blood Services spokesperson Katherine Wasylenka says this means many more are needed for donations with a call being made to find 750 new donors in the next month, and 5000 total.
Regina area residents can donate blood at their office on 2571 Broad Street.
Clinics are Wednesdays to Saturday from 8 until noon and from 4-8 on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
