The money will go toward a new green space for community members to gather.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders also announced they will be in a program partnership with the centre.
The Roughriders will be working with the centre’s staff to see what they think the programming should look like.
“It could be things like mentoring, it could be after school programs, sports camps, or it could just be tickets for kids to come to our games,” said Craig Reynolds, President and CEO, Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The centre will house a number of different community organizations once it’s finished. It is more than 75 percent complete.
