A 27-year old man faces a number of charges after a pair of attempted robberies Saturday night in downtown Regina.
Police were called to a business in the 2200 block of Broad Street around 830 after a report that a man approached a vehicle in the parking lot, pointing what appeared to be a gun at the 24-year-old female driver’s window. The suspect than allegedly opened the driver’s door and pulled the woman out onto the ground, demanding keys to the vehicle.
The passenger of the vehicle phoned police and the suspect ran away.
A few moments later in the lane of the 2100 block of Osler Street, a male pointed a firearm at a vehicle with a 30-year-old man in it and when the driver drove away the suspect fled.
The suspect was spotted by officers in an alley in the 1500 block of Victoria Avenue. Police found a firearm on the suspect and arrested him without incident.
