This is something you just don’t jam down the back of your pants or in your jacket!
It is a 10 seat long board that apparently was removed at some point and time from Mosaic Stadium on Saturday!
There were rumours and stories circulating that this could or would happen!
Section 25, I thought you guys were better than that!
Long has 25, been the Section where all the beautiful people sit! Well, at least Section 26 might think that way.
Section 25, located right behind the opposition bench. Centre Field! And now this! Tainted! What is a field to think! What about the city that owns those seats!
You may buy your season ticket, but it doesn’t mean you own the lumber you sat on. You basically LEASE that space!
I know we all joked about having a part of “our” Taylor Field to take home, maybe that is still in the works.
The new stadium features pieces of Taylor Field / Mosaic Stadium. The wood is old, possibly split and paint is fading, but its part of our heritage and on display for those to see and touch at the new stadium. So leave the old alone!
Who brings tools into the venue to remove planks! I guess someone with a pretty believable Halloween Costume, that’s who!
From my perspective, our group did something that is not so destructive, yet perhaps, just as bad. We left loving comments on the backs of our seats … well, except for one – “Burn Me”! That stuff can be painted over and it was done with respect, even though it might appear to be an act of vandalism!
Open to interpretation!
Well … congratulations Section 25!
Here’s another angle.
Someone I know, that rarely attends a Taylor Field/Mosaic Stadium game, recently emailed me wondering if I could get them a memory from Saturday. They had considered driving up from the United States to buy a few seats.
You aren’t a season ticket holder, I’m not sure how much of a fan you are, so why do you need this?!
Having things for the sake of having things or for re-sale is just not cool in my mind. Since when did all of this become a competition!
