Regina’s Mayor says additional federal money announced earlier this week is good news for the Queen City.
On Tuesday, federal finance minister Bill Morneau announced an additional 81-billion dollars will be put toward infrastructure projects over the next 11 years.
Michael Fougere says the additional money can help get some projects sooner than first anticipated.
Fougere says there is a long list of projects such as the Buffalo Pound water treatment plant, road and transit improvements and social infrastructure.
Fougere says the relationship between cities and the federal government has been strong and this should make the relationship even stronger.
