A day doesn’t go by on 620 CKRM when we don’t talk about a fundraiser – of some sort!
I add something that I know you’d want, but unless someone in Washington, D.C. is on your “friend-list”, you probably won’t get this. Its a calendar.
A couple of years back, the Chicago Blackhawks did a players and dogs calendar. I saw the Washington Capitals photo shoot! Check it out: Hockey and Hounds!
I didn’t drill into the sight because I’m afraid, you cannot get them in Canada! The cost maybe double from what they are being sold for at the designated game or through the Cap’s website. A nice $20 calendar jumps to much more with Shipping & Handling, U.S. Dollar conversion and taxes!
So, keep it local on this “Philanthropy Day”.
Two events in the next two weeks deserve your attention. The first is tomorrow night and helps out children from 5 years to 12.
CityKidz Regina is hosting their annual fall fundraiser at Celebration Church (3130 Renfrew Crescent). The tickets are $40 each or a table of 8 for $225.
The event will enlighten attendees to the plight of child poverty and the hopelessness that is felt. Kids should have time and energy to be children first. Donna West, the board and volunteers hope to show us the way. It is a worthy event.
Help Children Dream Big with this City Kidz Regina event. There’s still time to get your ticket! Thursday night enjoy entertainment, wonderful food from Charlotte’s Catering, a guest speaker plus silent auction.
