The snow fell, winter’s first real chill was in the air and hundreds gathered with Mosaic Stadium glowing in the background to see the CP Holiday Train along with Dallas Smith and The Odds Monday night.
The train arrived in Regina just before 6:00 p.m. with the sound of Christmas music and cheers from the crowd that had gathered.
By the end of the performance, everyone was ready for the holiday season but Regina’s generosity had shone through already with donation barrels all full of non perishable food items that will be donated to the Food Bank.
A total of $13,000 was also raised.
The train then headed west through the snowy night to Moose Jaw where more people had gathered to see and hear the glowing train.
Before leaving Saskatchewan the Holiday Train will also make stops in Swift Current, Maple Creek, North Portal, Estevan and Weyburn.
