The federal government is providing up to 780 thousand dollars to 4-H Canada.
Agriculture minister Lawrence MacAulay says the funds will support the Global 4-H Network summit to be held in 2017.
The summit in Ottawa in July will host over 600 4-H delegates from across Canada and the world to share experiences, develop skills and learn about agriculture.
The summit includes four days of workshops and a two-day trade show.
MacAulay also announced expanded support for young farmers through Farm Credit Canada.
FCC is doubling the amount of credit available to one million dollars from 500 thousand and lowering the possible minimum down payment to 20 per cent of the value of the loan which supports the purchase or improvement of farmland and buildings.
