Yesterday after work I scooted home to grab Max and take him out to the south end of the city for a haircut. It was going to be a busy afternoon.
After dropping Max off I had to go and grab a Christmas gift for one of our granddaughters that we forgot to pick up over the weekend. I was hoping I would be able to find it at Walmart, but if that didn’t pan out, it was off to Toys ‘R’ Us. C’mon Walmart! Unfortunately I couldn’t find it there, so it was off to Toys ‘R’ Us, which I was hoping wouldn’t be a zoo. It wasn’t. That’s one advantage about getting off at 10 o’clock in the morning!
After grabbing the gift I was looking for, I made my way to the hardware store. We had a bit of a draft sneaking underneath our front door for some reason, so this “not so handyman” decided to fix the problem. I picked up what I needed from the hardware store, including tips on what exactly I had to do, and was off to do some work. I ended up making two more trips to the hardware store before everything was done, but I eventually took care of the problem. I was quite proud of myself!
By the time that was all finished it was already after two. Max was supposed to be finished in the barber chair at about 3, so I didn’t have much time to relax.
After picking up Max, it was back home for a bit of relaxation before heading into the kitchen to make sure supper was ready by the time my wife got home at 4:45.
