A Court of Queen’s Bench judge is denying bail to an 18 year old accused in the death of a Regina teenager.
The boy, who can’t be named because of his age at the time of the crime, is facing a charge of first degree murder in the death of 16 year old Hannah Leflar.
Another boy who was also charged with first degree murder in Leflar’s death has already pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
A trial for the teenager that has been denied bail had started last month, but ended shortly after it began when a mistrial was declared.
Another trial is set for February.
It was because of that delay that the boy had applied for bail.
Leflar’s body was found in her north Regina home in January of 2015
