Seven farm meetings are scheduled this week in southeast Saskatchewan to discuss a proposed grain and resource export terminal complex near Weyburn.
A farmer group, Comtax Logistic Solutions, wants to construct a 60 thousand ton grain terminal through farm investment and business partnerships.
It would be built on the Soo line near Weyburn to handle grain, petroleum and other resources.
Spokesman Mark Bratrud says meetings last week in Regina, Weyburn and Carlyle generated good support for the project.
The meetings on the proposed project are being held in Radville and Estevan Monday, Tuesday in Oungre and Montmartre, Wednesday in Milestone and Corning and Thursday in Sedley.
