The Saskatchewan Abilities Council would like to alert the community of a potential canvassing fraud happening in the City of Regina.
The Council says it has received a number of calls alerting them to individuals going door to door apparently canvassing for children in wheelchairs while falsely identifying themselves as Saskatchewan Abilities Council employees.
The individuals are instructing those who donate to call the Saskatchewan Abilities Council to obtain their receipt. These individuals have all been described as male, wearing Saskatchewan Abilities Council branded clothing with a lanyard that indicates they are a Saskatchewan Abilities Council staff member.
The Council says these people are not associated with them and they are not canvassing for money at this time.
Anyone being approached is asked to call Regina police.
