On Monday, December 5, Police were called to the 200 block of Froom Crescent for a report of a break and enter in progress.
It was discovered the woman had sustained numerous puncture wounds, but was able to give an initial statement to police.
She said a man jabbed her with an instrument – later found to be a type of tool used in sheet metal work.
The suspect was renting accommodation at the same residence.
According to Regina Police, In the early afternoon of December 5th, investigators learned RCMP in Manitoba had detained the suspect when his vehicle went off the road near Virden, Manitoba.
A warrant was requested for him on a charge of Attempted Murder.
He was returned to Regina on Friday, December 9, 2016.
18-year year-old Wesley Jettediah Brookes is charged with Attempted Murder and made his first court appearance Monday, December 12.
