With laws about to get tougher for those who drink and drive in our province, there are numbers from Stats Canada out this morning that show why that is.
Stats Canada says Saskatchewan is once again at the top of the pack when it comes to the highest rate of impaired driving.
Numbers show there were 575 impaired driving charges in Saskatchewan per 100,000 population which is nearly twice as high as Alberta which comes in in 2nd place with a figure of 314.

The Canadian average is 201.
When it comes to cities, Regina had the 3rd highest rate behind St. John’s, Newfoundland and Kelowna at 311 per 100-thousand people with Saskatoon coming in 6th at 228.
