RCMP say a First Nation in northern Saskatchewan is organizing a ground search for a man not seen since mid-October.
Mounties say Eric Ratt of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band was last seen leaving a family member’s trapper cabin on Zimmer Lake on Oct. 19 and was reported missing to police on Dec. 3.
Police say Ratt was known to be away for extended periods of time.
Searches and investigation to date have failed to locate him.
Zimmer Lake is near Key Lake, about 600 kilometres north by air from Saskatoon.
Police say Ratt was scheduled to pick up supplies sometime in November at C-can camp on McDonald’s Lake, but never arrived.
