A Saskatchewan man is facing murder charges, after a woman was found dead on the Little Black Bear First Nation Thursday.
Police say they found the unresponsive woman outside a home on the First Nation around 7:15 a.m., where paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
She has since been identified as Lauren Quewezance, 33, from Little Black Bear First Nation.
Sherman Bellegarde, 37, from the same First Nation, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Police say the accused and the victim knew each other.
Bellegarde made his first court appearance Friday morning in Regina, where the case was adjourned until Dec. 22.
