Talked about the latest Pinterest craze! Or is it just a creative twist on something old school.
Taking plastic wrap and bundling stuff into it. The people playing the unravel game receive random gifts as the layers come off.
What do you call this – the ONION – wrap!
A great idea that makes everyone pay attention to the art of unwrapping gifts. Your Christmas host has wrapped a variety of items in a ball of cellophane / use wrapping paper if you wish. In cellophane it becomes a ball of goodies – apparently.
Now in Jamie’s case, the people around the circle had to roll doubles. I’ve been to a party where it was music played, when the beats stopped, you got to take one layer of the wrapping off. And you received a prize.
The prizes can range from a bag of candy, magnifying glass, crayons to something a bit bigger – but not as large as what your main prize might be!
The event keeps everyone together talking, joking and moving. Bonus is; you gather up some neat prizes. I think Jamie got a rubber chicken on one of his rolls.
At our Welsh Society Potluck, my friend was the final person and unveiled a box of chocolates. So the prizes can be big or small. Imagine if the ball or layers contained gift cards! Awesome, just as long as everyone got a shot at winning something.
