A fire at the potash mine in Allan, Sask. left 114 people stuck underground for several hours Monday.
PotashCorp says an underground loader caught fire — and though the blaze was quickly extinguished, it created a lot of smoke.
He says miners were immediately sent to refuge stations where there is clean air while they await the all-clear.
There were no injuries reported and the last few workers were expected to be out shortly after midnight.
