When you spend time in the hospital as a child you know how difficult it can be not to be home over the holidays.
Justin LaBrash, a local country singer spent time in and out of the pediatric ward his whole childhood.
Tuesday afternoon, LaBrash took time out of his day to preform for children in the pediatrics ward at the Regina General Hospital.
Now 17, LaBrash believes in the importance of giving back to the hospital and The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan.
“It means a lot for me, when I was younger I spent a lot of time in-and-out of hospitals with a condition. So The Children’s Hospital Foundation is something that’s really close to my heart, and the pediatrics ward. It’s just a really special thing to be able to bring something that I do, back here” said LaBrash.
After preforming in the play-room area, LaBrash made his way down the hallways to sing to children who were unable to make it out of their rooms.
LaBrash added he is partnered with The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan and has done a few benefit concerts to date.
His next one is taking place in February, at the Artesian here in Regina, where 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan.
