Statistics Canada has reported that Saskatchewan saw the largest drop nation-wide in wholesale trade, as well as the largest increase in employment insurance claims and recipients between September and October of this year.
Wholesale trade fell by 8.1 per-cent, the next largest drop occurred in Manitoba, with a decline of 1.5 per cent.
Nation-wide a small increase of wholesale trade took place with a 1.1 per-cent jump being recorded.
During the same time-frame employment insurance claims went up 12.6 per-cent, while the number of recipients also rose, by six per-cent in Saskatchewan.
Alberta saw the next largest jump in recipients with a three per-cent increase.
Across Canada, claims edged lower by 0.1 per-cent.
