FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron says 2016 has been a tough year with equal shares of ups and downs.
Cameron notes the Boushie shooting and string of suicides up north to be the dark spots.
He says the focus moving forward has to be more support for youth in order to help them feel loved and encouraged.
Otherwise, he notes infrasatructure for new schools, housing, and wellness centres will also be big.
Cameron says 2016 also provided a good step forward in the Truth and Reconciliation process and he looks forward to that continuing in the New Year.
