It was a busy New Year’s weekend for Regina Police.
A man drove his vehicle through the front doors of a Regina Scotia bank on 13th Avenue Monday morning in an attempted break and enter.
He fled the scene in his vehicle, but police were able to arrest the man – but the suspect did try to fight his way out of the situation.
As a result, Patrick Shannon, was charged with break and enter, resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
As well, Regina Police arrested and charged a 30-year old woman with impaired driving charges and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
It happened early Saturday morning at Lewvan and Sherwood Drive. 30-year old Nicole Peigan was arrested and charged.
The vehicle was responsible for property damage on Fenwick Crescent.
And minor injuries on New Year’s Eve when The Tap off-sale in the northwest was robbed by two suspects with a machete.
Police caught up and arrested the two suspects.
