The number of people receiving EI benefits in November was up by over a third from the same time frame a year ago.
Stats Canada says almost 21 and a half thousand people in Saskatchewan were getting benefits compared with November of 2015 when the number was 15, 540.
That translates to an increase of 37.6 percent.

In Regina, the number was up by over 22-percent from November of 2015, but there was a decline on a month-to-month basis from October
On a month-over-month basis, the number of EI recipients were down by 0.2 percent.
