Over the course of the last couple of weeks I’ve been getting things done that need doing before we take off for Mexico next week. Thus far I’ve managed to check doctor and dentist appointments off my list. Yesterday I got to add a haircut to that list.
My pre-trip list is always a lot cheaper than the list my wife draws up. Those three items I took care of cost me a grand total of $25, and that includes the tip for my haircut! Tomorrow my wife will go for her haircut and then on Saturday it’s time for her pedicure. Really? A pedicure? Aren’t feet supposed to look ugly? I can’t remember the last time we were on vacation and I whispered to my wife, “Man, look at the feet on her!”
Just those two items on her list will beat mine, price wise, by more than tenfold! My wife better have the best looking hair and feet at our resort! If I hear less than 20 people comment on how beautiful my wife’s toes look, I’ll consider that pedicure a waste of money. Personally, I’ll clip my toenails before we go and be happy with that!
From this point on it’s just a matter of grabbing some odds and ends. I don’t need much. Shaving cream, after shave, and maybe a few other things, but that’ll be it for me. My wife? Well, I know she’ll be picking up a few more items that that, that’s for sure!
I don’t think my wife fully appreciates how much of a “low maintenance” guy she married!
What a lucky woman.
