A 5 year old boy was left locked in a bus garage for around seven hours this week after falling asleep and not being noticed.
Luke Keshane was picked up on the Saulteaux First Nation in west-Central Saskatchewan Monday morning. The driver dropped kids off, but did not notice Keshane had fallen asleep as he took the bus back to a garage dropped it off and locked it.
It wasn’t until 3 o’clock when another driver entered the garage that Keshane was found.
The boy wasn’t hurt, but his mother says he was visibly upset.
The driver received a three day suspension, but the boy’s mother wants more including a formal apology and new policies to be put in place so all kids are accounted for.
