High quality Saskatchewan wheat has been used to make award winning whisky northwest of Regina.
Colin Schmidt is an owner of Last Mountain Distillery at Lumsden.
He recently won silver medals at the Canadian Whisky Awards, held in Victoria B.C.
He credits the use of high quality Saskatchewan grain for his award-winning product.
The Last Mountain Distillery at Lumsden uses about 120 thousand pounds of wheat a year, plus other grains, to make whisky, rum and vodka.
